OKAY! New sketch. UM. Bit of a new look. I was trying to go for a look that seemed more like Loki had just hacked his hair off from his previous hair-do…aaand voila. I dunno if people will dig it as much as his original design, but I really like it.

Loki’s Lip Stitch
AND more oldentimes Loki. This is less teenage shenanigans Loki and more INTO THE CAVE WITH YOU, NOW Loki. I was trying to do a little step by step coloring tutorial for this, but I dunno… we’ll see.
Here I’ve just done a dump of OLD art. like old. But it was requested, SO! I thought I’d group everything kind of by era. So this is a ye auld Loki dump.
The first is a stupid rune joke. The second is Loki and his wife Sigyn. I like to imagine them being buddies, even while he’s off fucking everything that moves. The third is Loki, Odin and Freya - doin’ some rune thing. Fourth is Loki and Baldur. I think Loki just likes making Baldur feel REALLY uncomfortable. Sometimes that entails darts of mistletoe through the heart. Which brings us to the last one… Loki convincing and apparently pretty distracted Hod that throwing that thing at his brother would be FUCKING HILARIOUS.

Yeahhh, more Loki. I tried making him look a little less dead-colored in this one … but the pallet for his skin looks god awful! XD turned out better in practice though. Anyway. Fire giant bitch face.
Ye Auld Loki 01
BWAH. Okay, so I’ve been doodling more Norse stuff. Okay, more Loki. I still haven’t gotten the groove of anyone else. APPARENTLY my style changed WAY more than I thought and no no one jives. Fortunately, I drew the CRAP out of Loki before, so transferring him turned out pretty knee-jerk. I haven’t done up any revamped modern!Loki … which is what most people who know me are used to, but hey, olden times Loki is pretty good too, right? This is just one of the sketches I bothered coloring - so more to come.
What to saaaaay. He’s super young here, I guess. Note the absence of dem Loki scars. And super innocent-looking…Jezuz. What a trap. Anyway. Bundled up Loki. Which reminds me: If you’re new, you might be going “why the hell does he need to be bundled? He’s a frost giant!” To which I put on my nerd glasses and leather elbow patches and say “NAY!” Loki is a Fire giant. Or at the very least least part fire giant. His father was Farbauti who waaas… I dunno. Some dick fire giant. Laufey was his mother and the jury is kinda out on what the fuck she was - some kinda giant. But what is 100% Norse canon is that Loki is the fire guy. Brought fire to humans, had a couple of kids called Ember and Ashes, exhibited an ability, at least once, of flying through a wall of fire that was erected to protect Asgard from a non-fiery-type of giant. Also in Ragnarok, he kind of defects back to the fire giant army to help lay shit down.
SO! That is why I draw what I draw. And here you thought it was just to draw an adorable bundled-up Loki. Well that too. But also nerdism!

I felt bad that all of my Norse mythology stuff was soooo terribly outdated, so I sat down to draw more. Problem being, I’m still on an Avengers high, so Loki ended up in some kind of robey thing that is a bit of a nod to whatever the hell the Asgardians wear in the movies. I don’t see why I can’t love old school Norse mythology AND Marvel movies. I just can’t bump myself off drawing Loki how I’ve been drawing him since ever though. Even though Tom Hiddleston is so…perfect. :P—
